hi,
as i know, mckoi is not under active development at the moment. just have a look at the last release.
you should switch to a other projekt like hsqldb, h2 or derby. they seems to be very active (have a look at the derby mailing list).
for an overview of java database systems have a look at http://java-source.net
once mckoi was my first choice, but now i prefer derby.
