Corrupted database
Hi,

It looked like my database was corrupted but when running the following command :
java -classpath lib/ext/mckoidb.jar
com.mckoi.tools.DBConglomerateRepairTool -path data

It gets stuck at :
+ 1 area repairs:
Area pointer: 80424
Area size: 55312
+ Rebuilding free bins.
- Store repair complete.
- Checking record integrity.
+ Record area not valid: row = 442 pointer = 79112
+ Deleting record.

The CPU goes up to 100% and I have to manually stop it.
I'm running out of ideas on how to solve this.

Thanks,
Jérôme

Hi Jerome,

Can you mail me the log entries for the time period around when you repair tool is run. Also mail me the full output from the repair tool. Email me at: toby@mckoi.com.

Toby.

Toby,

Thank you for your help but someone at work modified the repair tool to avoid an infinite loop caused by a datafile truncation. Most of the datas were recovered with this method after 2 or 3 repair on the database.
